The journey begins...

After several conversations in the pub about the fun Nick's brother Ed was having on the Africa rally, a few of us thought we'd give it a bash and try to get on the Mongol Rally the following year. When signup day came, nickski was working on his tan in France, Squeak was blocked from the internet at work and Sly wasn't having any luck with the satellite link on his oil rig, so someone had to step up and sort it out...

After extricating myself from the course I was on at the time (teacher NOT impressed) and a few heart stopping minutes of hitting the refresh key later, we had our place! Checking back later revealed that 200 places had gone in under two minutes, so luck must have been on our side.

Mongolia here we come!!!
